Ambition – A Key to Success

Everyone requires a booster to success in life.

The only beat to the influences of the outer world is Ambition - A strong desire for success.

Many people have different ambitions in life so the word ambition would have different definitions, depending on whom you ask. To me ambition is a burning (urge) desire to achieve your goals or succeed.

Ambition is related to dedication, motivation and time.

Ambition is a mind-set that is really more of an entity,  and screaming as “further, further”.

It’s an asset that rises the one to be passionate, ‘ambition has been the backbone of every success story’!

Ambition is a passion that never fails and will never let fail it.

Ambition is the best quality that a person can have, until the ribbon of chasing a dream is crossed.

Ambition drives us to reach for the things important to us. Whether it is our career, the life we live or our family - the ambition to have the things we want, will push us to success.

No one is born with the ambition that makes one possessed with goals and dreams in life.

The ambition in a person develops with occurrence of certain circumstances.

We may spend our whole life striving for a dream or goal that we have.

We even work harder and harder but never focus on the missing link – Ambition.  It blinds the mind and helps in chasing the dream.

Ambition has the capacity to change us in a whole new person until we get obsessed and poisoned with it.

The impact of ambition behind the success can be studied from the lives of many great personalities.

Leaders like Abraham Lincoln, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Disney Walt, Albert Einstein, Indira Gandhi are some.

They consistently followed their dreams and goals, until their last breath.

Recalling Swami Vivekanand’s words, “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached”, directly points towards the consistency of the efforts to fulfill the ambition.

Ambition in other words is the motive force needed to propel all of us to work towards our desired cherishing goals.

It is the dynamic inner force that has led people from all walks of life to a new path and set a new vision.

Ambition is the ultimate wonder of the world!

Ambition is the source of all that is good.

It has power to create wonders overnight.

Ambition is the winner and loser of every game and not the player!

Ambition is a propelling power that urges us to create opportunities and succeed in those opportunities.

True ambition is a virtue that leads us to do great things.

However, ambition ruled by ulterior motives becomes a vice that eventually leads man to destructive acts. In Shakespeare’s Macbeth, ambition is a major aspect in the development of Macbeth s character. Just as in our history, ambition is portrayed as a troublesome driving force. A clear example of this type of ambition was in the Presidency of Richard Nixon. Ambition and honor were attributes of both Macbeth and Nixon in genesis, however, they gradually transformed into devious and untrustworthy men. Ambition is a corrupting forcethat grows in human selfishness, greed and cruelty and carries one to degradation.

Ambition has been the backbone of every army, every team and every single successful individual!

The commitment inside every great sportsman or team is fuelled by ambition, the top achievers of any subject are filled with the ambition to work harder and be the best.

There are two groups of people in this world, the average, ordinary man whose goals in life are to get through as fast and easy as possible. To these people, hard work is considered profanity and the shortcuts through tasks have a certain silver lining people who are like this will become the every day man in the street.

The other kind of people are people who are not afraid to get down on their hands and knees to do the hard work, the individual who offers to do the unexplainably difficult tasks the person who puts in 110% every single day so that they can accomplish their goals. The human being who does all of this will become a highly sophisticated and successful individual.

To wake up in the morning knowing that you barely scrape through the day, and that every “barely passed’ stamp on top of your tests is a means for celebration, this is a terrible feeling.

The emotion of receiving top honors in any task you set out to do is a sensation that cannot be simulated or made, to be the best you have to work the hardest and have a mind that is full of ambition.

Are you the cat who sits upon the side of the pond waiting for the fish to spring up into your mouth, or are you the cat who plunges into the freezing cold to retrieve their prize, and claim victory over all your rivals?

That is ambition!!!
